1. SUN
The number one cause of dark spots is sun damage. When exposed to harmful UV rays, the skin reacts by producing a protective pigment called melanin. 10 Step Korean Skin Care Routine With Eminence Organics

You’ve heard about the benefits of double-masking and double-cleansing. Now we’re challenging you to try yet another skin care trend that’s taken the beauty industry by storm: The 10 Step Korean Skin Care Routine. If you’re already scrambling to find enough time for your bedtime routine, adding 10 steps to your skin care may seem like a daunting task. But don’t let the 10 steps scare you. After removing your eye makeup, cleansing and applying a moisturizer, you’re already three steps into your Korean skin care routine. What are another seven additional steps if it means a more youthful, healthy-looking complexion? 

To keep you on-trend with the latest and greatest in skin care, we’re sharing our version of the 10 Step Korean Skin Care Routine which incorporates some of your favorite Eminence Organics products. Here’s what a typical routine would look like for day and night care. 

1. The Makeup/dirt/oil Remover
 The first step is simple - remove your makeup, oil and any additional gunk that’s collected on your face during the day. We recommend Eminence Organics Rice Milk 3 in 1 Cleansing Water which can be used on the eye area as well as all over the face. Simply dispense a small amount of the cleansing water in your hands, or saturate a cotton ball or pad with the product. Gently wipe over the face, including closed eyelids, and rinse with cool water.

2. The Cleanser

For this step, the Korean method recommends using a cleansing oil, but we also recommend an Eminence Organics version of a lightly foaming or creamy cleanser. When combined, these two paraben and sulfate free cleansers create a light foaming effect that lift away surface impurities, leaving your complexion with a clear, nourished appearance.

3. The Exfoliator
 Scrub away dead skin cells and bring out your skin’s natural radiance with a gentle exfoliant like Eminence Organics  Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant. Dispense a dime-sized amount of the exfoliant into the palm of your hand and add a half teaspoon of water. Rub your hands together to create a creamy paste and apply to the face using circular motions, then rinse and pat dry. This exfoliant can be used daily and it’s gentle enough to suit even sensitive skin types.  

4. The Toner/Mist/Tonique
 Once you’ve cleansed your skin, it’s time to apply your toner to balance and hydrate. Toniques or toners can be applied simply by spraying directly onto the face and neck, or they can be applied by adding the solution to cotton pads and sweeping over your entire face. Make sure to leave the toner on and avoid the eye area during application.

5. The Treatment Serum

It’s now time for your serum, also referred to as “ampoules” in Korea (Into The Gloss). 6. The Facial Concentrate
 Similar to serums, concentrates are super-potent skin care elixirs that deliver an intense dose of nutrients to your complexion. For this step, we recommend our best-selling and award-winning Eminence Organics  Bamboo Firming Fluid which uses the strengthening agents of bamboo as well as our Natural Retinol Alternative and Swiss Green Apple Stem Cells to firm and tighten the skin’s appearance. Dispense one or two pumps of the concentrate into your hand and apply over the entire face. 

7. The Moisturizer 
 During this step, the Korean skin care routine suggests a facial massage with the application of the cream or moisturizer. Apply the moisturizer to your face in circular motions, massaging into the skin for about 2-5 minutes. For a lighter application add one to two drops of water. We recommend an SPF moisturizer like Eminence Organics  Tropical Vanilla Day Cream if this step is performed during the day, or a night cream like Eminence Organics Blueberry Soy Night Recovery Cream if applied before bed. 

8. The Eye Cream 
 For this step, the facial massage continues - this time, around the eye contour area. Gently apply a thin layer of an eye cream like Eminence Organics Bearberry Eye Cream to the eye area (avoiding the eyelids), massaging for 30 seconds or one minute until fully absorbed. 

9. The Neck Cream 
 Now it’s time to deeply hydrate and treat the neck area. We recommend Eminence Organics Monoi Age Corrective Night Cream for Face & Neck which features our exclusive Anti-Aging Stem Cell Complex for a smoother and more youthful appearance. Warm the neck cream in your hands before applying over the entire neck area, gently pressing into the skin until absorbed completely.

10. The Facial Oil 
​ And last but not least, an application of a facial oil. Dispense 2–3 drops of the facial oil in your hand, warming for a few seconds before applying a thin layer to your face and neck with circular motions, leave on.
